Product Review: Waterfull emergency water storage barrell

The Waterfull emergency water storage barrell gets a 5 start rating from Greg.

The barrell was shhipped quickly and well packed. The package included the barrell with top and bottom caps (the top one which may be used as a sink), potable-water rated inlet and outlet hoses, a high qulaity pressure regulator, and instructions and product information. The high quality brass fixtures were used.

Capacity for each barrell is stated as 30 gallons or enough for a family of four for about a week.

It comes in five different colors.

It comes standard with a 4 foot hose for the supply end. Our test version arrived with a 10 foot hose, and an optional outlet hose, which was not needed since we hooked it up to a standard hose for yard use. For most installations, the standard hose should be fine.

The barrel as provided had full-port spigots, though two types are offered as options. The full-port type, specfied for daisy chaining two or more barrels together for better flow through on installations where the additional capacity is needed.

Hookup was easy as the pressure regulator was designed to fit to a common hose bibb. We elected to place the barrell on a couple of cinderblocks to make access to the lower output faucet with a tea pot or jug easier.

This will work on even a small patio and can even double as a table... better than 30 one gallon bottles of drinking water from the store because the water is almost free and can not leak in your cupboard inside the house. It's also made of better plastic than water bottles and won't need replacing every year. I don't know about you, but I do not have room in my cupboards for 30 water bottles!
