How to repair PVC pipe: Compression Fitting
Greg demonstrates how to repair a brokenPVC pipe using a compression fitting.
The compression fitting is a quick, easy, and inexpensive fix for a broken PVC pipe.
The compression fitting does not require any PVC cement and as such can be done in a wet environment, even completly submerged.
The type of fitting demonstrated in this video is only usable for low pressure - for example the lines in an irrigation system that lead to the sprinklers. It should not be used for a higher pressure water supply line. There are higher pressure compression fittings available - they have a different configuration and include a metal retainer ring in each end.
